MILES OF PENNIES

The MILES OF PENNIES FUND provides grants for secular and religious materials for children from pre-school through high school.

These worldwide grants are offered several times a year to those who request funds for materials that they cannot afford to purchase.

HOW CAN WE GIVE

  • Sunday School Project

  • Men's Club Campaigns

  • Special Lenton Offerings

  • Bake sales or book sales

  • Coin collections by adults and children

  • Parish Outreach fund

  • Develop your own creative ideas for this mission

When your campaign ends, the funds collected should be mailed to our ECW Diocesan Treasurer, with a notation on the check that the contribution is slated for the MILES OF PENNIES FUND.

WHAT REQUESTS CAN WE MAKE

  • Books, Tapes, or computer software, either secular and religious

  • Prayer Books for children

  • CD's for after school tutorial programs

  • Project materials for Vacation Bible School

  • Books for library corners in a children's hospital or shelter(outreach)

  • Mailing costs for sending recycled books to children

  • Your idea for special needs

Fill out a request for the materials you need. These forms are available from Johnetta Merritt, your CPC Chair or by clicking here to PRINT a Miles of Pennies Application or by accessing the National CPC Website by clicking here,www.episcopalchurch.org/CPC. Attach an itemized list of materials you need with their prices. Remember the spending cap is $844.50 which is A MILE OF PENNIES! Your church CPC representative or priest must sign the order.
