National Book Fund

The National Book Fund fills grant requests for ADULT needs at least twice a year to selected applicants. It supplies educational materials, printed and audio visual materials, and computer software. There have been requests for periodicals for missions and  emergency calls to replace Prayer Books and hymnals that have been destroyed. This book fund has sent scriptural resources for overseas seminary students and  study guides for local adult Bible study groups. We send a stipend annually to our graduating seminarians at the Virginia Theological Seminary. There may be projects underway in your parish which possibly qualify for a grant.

HOW CAN WE GIVE

  1. Confer with your priest and schedule a Sunday for the annual National book Fund Ingathering.

  2. Write a brief article for the bulletin or your parish newsletter to explain this special worldwide mission that is part of the ECW agenda. Inform parishioners about recipients who have been given help.

  3. Prepare offering envelopes and place them in your bulletins on National Book Fund Sunday along with a copy of the CPC Prayer. the prayer is in the current ECW Yearbook and also on this website.

  4. Collect funds and mail them to our diocesan treasurer with the notation that the funds are earmarked for the National Book Fund.
